De Hoog Guido

Guido De Hoog is a Belgian artist born in 1954 in Wilrijk. He is a fine painter and crayon artist. Debuted self-taught, but followed the drawing and painting course at the Academy in Berchem/Antwerp in 1982. He paints, among other things, landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes and portraits. His works reflect sophistication and serinity. Soft color palette. Old buildings often pop up in his landscapes, his still lifes testify to his love for antique objects. Also finds his inspiration in the port of Antwerp and in the city center of Bruges. From the press: "G.D.H. finds in beauty, but also in still life, a beauty that urges him to paint.
