Daniel Gasser is a French artist born in 1948 in Mulhouse, France. He studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg (1966-1970). He started illustrating for publishers and advertising for various advertising agencies. After teaching for a while, he decided to make a living from his art and from 1975 he traveled to Egypt, Nepal, Morocco and India, countries that will inspire him with works of great expressive power. On his return he devoted himself to artistic drawing and engraving, but as a painter and visual artist he felt irresistibly attracted by the representation of the human body and the expression of forms, movements and colours.
