He mainly painted landscapes and farm views, more sporadic figures, nudes, portraits, interiors, still lifes, flowers. From the press: "G.D.P. admires painters such as Modigliani, Rouault, Servaes, Permeke and Godderis, he is a late figure of Flemish expressionism, a pictorial instinct and a late figure of Flemish expressionism, a pictorial instinct and has a physical need to express himself in colors to press; the most astonishing thing is its coloration. In his work he frees himself from an intense love for everything that lives and breathes. In this way he creates, as it were, a new reality. The fertile soil, the fields, the farmsteads, the dilapidated houses, the violence of the clouds: he is in the front row as a landscape painter.' Mentioned in BAS I and Two centuries of signatures by Belgian artists. (piron)
