Van Immerseel Frans

Frans Van Immerseel was a Belgian artist who was born in 1909 in Borsbeek and who died in 1978 in Wilrijk. He was a painter, graphic artist, glazier and procession builder. Student of Tony Van Os. His woodcuts bear witness to direct social engagement. For his stained-glass windows, he found inspiration in Flemish folklore, among others, Reinaart de Vos, Tijl Uilenspiegel, Pallieter.
