Jeune François

François Jeune is a French artist born in 1953 in Lyon/France. He is a painter. François Jeune graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later trained at the University of Paris I Sorbonne. In 1983 he was also the winner of the Villa Médicis scholarship outside the walls in Egypt. His painting practice is organized around a critical reflection on painting, while developing a coloristic approach to abstraction. His work has been exhibited in Barcelona, ​​Lyon, Brittany as part of the Art in the Chapels program and on many occasions at the Éric Devlin Gallery in Montreal, where the artist is represented. (BT)
