
Jeune François
François Jeune is a French artist born in 1953 in Lyon/France. He is a painter. François Jeune graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later trained at the University of Paris I Sorbonne. In 1983 he was also the winner of the Villa Médicis scholarship outside the walls in Egypt. His painting practice is organized around a critical reflection on painting, while developing a coloristic approach to abstraction. His work has been exhibited in Barcelona, Lyon, Brittany as part of the Art in the Chapels program and on many occasions at the Éric Devlin Gallery in Montreal, where the artist is represented. (BT)
