Lenaerts Fernand

Fernand Lenaerts is a Belgian artist born in Anderlecht in 1941 and died in Brussels in 1996. He was a painter, draftsman, graphic artist and sculptor. He studied at the Academies in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Brussels and Sint-Joost-ten-Node. He preferred figures, nudes, portraits, landscapes and compositions with figures. A short period of time he fell under the spell of death and the fantastic, but usually his works reflect dreams, symbolism and sometimes a certain irony. Delicate color palette, smooth, elegant and accurate lines. Work among others in the Museum in Bruges. Listed in BAS I. (PIRON)
