Rensburg Eugène

Eugène Rensburg (Eugenius) was a Dutch artist who was born in 1872 in The Hague and died there in 1956. He was an etcher, painter, draftsman, pen artist and watercolorist. Subjects mainly cityscapes, portraits, historical genres. Education at the Kunstnijverheidsschool Quellinus (Amsterdam) and the Academy of Visual Arts (The Hague). Lived and worked in The Hague, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Frankfurt, Budapest, along the Rhine, Danube, Seine, on the Thames near London, along the Zuiderzee. Lived in Rotterdam for a long time. Pupil of the Quellinusschool (evening course) in Amberdam and of the Academy v. B.K. in The Hague (from ca.1890) led by J. van Delden.
