Lucq Eugène

Eugène Lucq was a Belgian artist who was born in Bergen in 1858 and died there in 1916. He was a painter, draftsman and etcher. Training at the Academy in Bergen under the direction of Auguste Danse (1871-1873). Became a drawing teacher in several schools in Bergen. Realized old neighborhoods and corners from Bergen and portraits. Illustrated different parts of the Annales du cercle archéologique de Mons. Works were published almost annually in the albums of the Aquafortistes Belges. Exhibited at the 33rd Exhibition in the Casino in Ghent in 1892, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Fine Arts in Ghent. Work in the Muyseum in Bergen, among others. (PIRON)
