Deschampheleer Edmond

Edmond Deschampheleer was a Belgian artist born in Brussels in 1824 and died in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode in 1899. He was a painter and engraver. He was a student of E. De Block in Antwerp. He stayed in the Netherlands, Munich and in Barbizon. He preferred landscapes, including the influence of the Barbizon school. Th. Fourmois influenced his designs. Work among others in the Museums in Antwerp, Brussels, Kortrijk, Liège. Listed in BAS I.
