Eddy Hoet is a Belgian artist who was born in 1947 in Roeselare. He is a painter, printmaker and ceramicist. First individual exhibition in the Callebert gallery in Roeselare in 1965. Creator of the Tempo gallery in Roeselare. The landscape and nature are his source of inspiration. From the press: "Very personal style, rhythm and spontaneity characterize his oeuvre. Allusions to Paradise, comparisons between our current civilization and Universal Time are the theme" and "E.H. has always been a colourist, a poet of prosperity and a practitioner of a certain impetus. Even purified and controlled, his canvases remain odes to the zest for life and to the sunny character of what surrounds us or what we imagine." Mentioned in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists VII and in Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. Source: Piron.
