Driehuizen Dirk

Dirk Driehuizen (Batavia/Dutch East Indies 1937 – 1992 Ghent) was a painter, draftsman, and screen printer. He trained at the Academies in Paris, the Netherlands, and Ghent. He found his inspiration primarily in the female figure. He leaned towards Symbolism and Fantasy. Professionally, he worked as a sales representative. He exhibited, among others, at the L'Ecuyer gallery in Brussels in 1976. Mentioned in the Lexicon of East Flemish Painters and Sculptors 1700–1940 (Daniël Van Ryssel, 2008). (Piron)
