Dexpert Raoul

Raoul Dexpert is a Belgian artist who was born in 1923 in Anderlues. He is a painter and draftsman. Self-taught. Abstract design. Most of his works appear lyrically abstract, although turbulent seascapes, restless cloud formations or landscapes are often suggested. Builds up his works with short brush strokes and thus obtains a strong effect of movement and play of light. Was a drawing teacher until 1971. Mentioned in BAS II and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (Piron)
