De Graeve Maurits

Maurits De Graeve was a Belgian artist, born in Avekapelle in 1924 and died in Veurne in 1995. He was a painter and graphic artist (woodcut). He studied at the Westhoek Academy in Koksijde. He found his inspiration in his immediate surroundings and in nature. Professionally, he worked as a carpenter. He is listed in the Lexicon of West Flanders Visual Artists V (Piron).
