Degans Xavier

Xavier Degans is a French artist born in 1949 in Dunkirk. He is a French painter, sculptor, mosaicist and lithographer. At the age of 16 he started working in the studio of Roger Chapelain-Midy. He received the gold medal of the city of Paris at the École des beaux-arts de Paris. In 1967, his meeting with Salvador Dalí led him to spend a while in Spain. In 1977 he won the Leonardo da Vinci Prize. (BT)
