Walter Cremers was a Belgian artist, born in Ichtegem in 1949 and died in Knokke in 1996. He was a sculptor, painter and graphic artist. He trained in interior design at Sint-Lucas in Ghent. From the press: 'W.C. directs his vision and expression towards surrealism, demonstrating a poetic sensitivity with which he envelops his imagination and symbols' and 'W.C. draws his inspiration from dreams and imagination, and in fact he follows in the footsteps of the surrealists. He also uses symbols and continuously portrays a metamorphosis. The fact that organic elements take on human shapes and vice versa is part of the visual material of this artist, who has recently become known as a graphic artist.'
