Dekegel Constant

Constant Dekegel was a Belgian artist born in 1921 in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek. He was a painter, graphic artist and draftsman. Education drawing and decorative art at the Art School in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek (1938 - 1942). Worked as a painter, lino engraver, dry needle etcher and lithographer. Realized landscapes, rural views, forest and village views, navies, characters, allegorical scenes and images of animals, among other things. Illustrated various local works, A. Verheyden about Vilvoorde and J. Lauwers about Perk. In 1978, together with Arthur Peeters, started a drawing studio in the Marga cultural center in Diegem. Exhibited in the 1980s in the Egmont room in Machelen and with the hobby club of Machelen, participated in the Art exhibition in the Socio-cultural center Pellenberg in Machelen/Brabant in 1991. Was employed in Machelen/Brabant. (PIRON)
