Poupaert Charles
Charles Poupaert was a Belgian artist who was born in Bruges in 1874 and who died there in 1935. He was an architect, painter, draftsman and pastelist. He was educated at the Academy in Bruges, where he later became a teacher from 1901 to 1933. In 1909 he established himself as an independent architect. As a painter and draftsman he realized portraits, cityscapes and landscapes. He is listed in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists ii, BAS II and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists.
