Broeckaert Willy
Willy Broeckaert is a Belgian painter, born in Sint-Niklaas in 1944. He was educated at the Academy in Sint-Niklaas under the guidance of Hubert De Volder, Raf Coorevits and Georges Fonteyn. In 1971 he established himself as an independent artist. He spent some time in France, where he obtained, among other things, the medal of the city of Nîmes and an honorary prize in Montpelier. He received an honorary prize in Bessèges and Montpellier. In Belgium he received a medal from Minister De Backer. Willy Broeckaert is mentioned in BAS I and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (Piron)
