
Boot Henri
Henri Frédéric Boot (Maastricht, February 8, 1877 – Haarlem, March 3, 1963) was a Dutch painter who lived most of his working life in Haarlem. He was considered the doyen of the Haarlem School of the twentieth century; he was a member of the artists' association De Independents. His many students included Kees Verwey and Anton Heyboer, among others. During the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940-1945) Boot showed himself to be a collaborator with the Germans.
