This cabinet is predominantly Art Deco, likely dating from the 1920s–1930s or designed in that style.

Features that point to this include:

  • the clean, symmetrical structure with a central display section;

  • the rounded, convex side compartments and curved corners;

  • the heavy, low base featuring decorative, stylized wave or shell motifs;

  • the contrast between functional lines and luxurious, sculptural details;

  • the probable use of beautifully veneered wood, which is characteristic of Art Deco furniture.

There is also a subtle Jugendstil/Art Nouveau influence in the organic, undulating forms; however, the geometric symmetry and robust silhouette make Art Deco the most appropriate stylistic classification.
