Alphonse Van Beurden (jr.) was a Belgian painter who was born in Antwerp in 1878 and died in Antwerp in 1962. He was the son of the sculptor Alphonse van Beurden. He was educated at the Academy in Antwerp and later also taught there. He realized landscapes, forest views in the style of F. Courtens, Scheldt views, figures, interiors, flowers, decorative panels. He was influenced by impressionism. He was a member of Als Ick Kan. We can find his work in, among other places, the Museum in Antwerp. He is mentioned in Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (piron)
