Mascaux Albert

Albert Mascaux was a Belgian painter born in 1900 and died in 1963. At the age of 15 he took classes from Louis Clesse. He started studying pharmacy without neglecting painting and follows courses with Philibert Cockx. Painted North Sea views, but especially the landscapes of the Ardennes. Realistic style, impressionistic touch with yet a masked palette, where especially the lush and yet discrete gray appears. His works can be found in the museums of Tournai, Charleroi, Mons and La Louvière.
