Jansen A.J.
A.J. Jansen was a painter about whom there is some confusion according to his nationality. Some say he was British, others say Dutch, Belgian or even Danish. We know for sure that he was active between 1906 and 1933. His works are regularly offered for auction. He had a clear preference for ships, sailing ships and steamboats at sea or sailing through ports. There is an article describing he was a painter who made paintings for the more wealthy passengers on board of the cruise ships.
