Remarks: The "Bibliotheque Chalcographia Regiae Belgi" makes sometimes limited prints of the original etching plates, so it is a "postume print"
Remarks:Artists donate their etching plates, engraving plates, woodcuts and litho stones to the Belgian National Library, the Prentenkabinet, and in return they receive about 100 prints that they sign and number. These copies always also contain the dry stamp 'bibliothecae chalcographia regiae belgi'. After this action, the Prentenkabinet may issue prints of the original plates. These always contain the dry stamp of the institution and do not bear the original signature in pencil of the artist.
