Vanderlinden An

An Vanderlinden is a Belgian painter, born in Koersel in 1969. She trained at the PHIKO in Hasselt and at the Higher Institute in Antwerp. In her works she interprets the cosmos and life in a personal way. In an abstract design and with appropriate color control, she knows how to create an atmospheric image in every canvas. With elegant yet powerful brush strokes or in broad layers with a knife, a balanced, subtle and serene composition grows from her subconscious, to which her impetuous nature is no stranger. Personal codes such as the cross and the circle; who used to be hidden in work; are increasingly coming to the fore. An Vanderlinden works in Houthalen. (Piron)
