From the press: 'His market scenes, his streets and squares with a colorful crowd of people are sketched very vividly. With a color palette that is occasionally reminiscent of Slabbinck, he brings us into the generous, sunny atmosphere of the region. It is simple in line and structure, sober in drawing with large areas of light and bright colours.' Mentioned in BAS I and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (piron)
