Lapiower Max
Max Lapiower is a Belgian artist, born in Brussels in 1991. He is a graphic artist and draftsman. During his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp (2015-2019), he developed a strong interest in portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. After obtaining his master's degree, he delved into the techniques of the old Flemish masters, striving to master them. He explores the composition, lines, and forms of the Flemish primitives and modern Flemish portraits and landscapes. The influence of classical music and literature is also evident in his works; these elements play a significant role in his quest for the inner dimension of his art. Since 2017, he has held several exhibitions. In 2018, he won the Frans Dille Prize, and in 2019, the 27th engraving prize at the Centre de la Gravure et de l’Image Imprimée with a burin engraving. In 2023, he organized an exhibition at the Kunstkring Jacques Gorus in Antwerp. (BT)
