Belgische kunstenaar Johan Dedesimpel

Desimpel Johan

Joan Dedesimpel is a Belgian artist who was born in Belgium in 1949 in Kortijk. He is a painter. Abstract design. His works often seem to contain messages in ciphertext; signs and symbols attract attention and create an atmosphere of mystery and also unsolved messages from another world are present. Integrates pieces of matter into his works and sometimes his paintings are almost exclusively constructed by objects arranged side by side. From the press: "J.L. D. is known as a painter who often paints signs and signals in large formats, handles paint impetuously and can rarely fail to include or integrate collage elements in the paintings" and "In his canvases, objects are increasingly incorporated so that the carrier repeatedly it became the hold of objects, similar ones arranged in battle order, or surprising ones that reveal sensuality, emotion, passion, exuberance, and the need for creativity. It was obvious that three-dimensionality would gradually gain ground and eventually triumph, which has happened in the meantime, again in an impetuous and symbolic-laden manner." (H. Brutin, 1998) Source: Piron
