Van Eeghem André

André Van Eeghem was a Belgian painter, born in Bruges in 1909 and died in Bruges around 2000. He was the son of Benoit Van Eeghem. He was educated at the Academy in Bruges, under the supervision of G. De Sloovere, F. Fonteyne, H. Hoste and A. Dewispelaere (1924-1929). He realized portraits, landscapes and flower arrangements. Like his father, he was a flower trader and specialized in orchid cultivation. André Van Eeghem exhibited in the Kunstcentrum 't Hof in Puttens in Lede in 1992. He is listed in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists vi. (Piron).
