Schilderijen en beelden van Albert Van Acker

Van Acker Albert

Albert Van Acker is a Belgian artist who was born in 1953. After an artistic training, Bert graduated as an architect at the St. Lucas Institute in Ghent in 1980. He specialized in monument conservation, where he came into contact with sculpture. Followed courses: Sketching St. Lucas Ghent. Watercolor & drawing with Father Geroen De Bruycker(uncle) Painting with oil at the academy in Deinze. The talent of sculpting arose at a later age and has now become a real passion. For Bert, sculpting is a slowing down of globalization and over-regulated architecture, in terms of urban planning, legislation and standards. Sculpting brings back harmony and balance in his life. Bert's sculptures are mainly inspired by the stone itself. The matter determines the image. The bronze statues are the expression of feelings where the clay or wax literally flows from his hands and thus reflects the expression of the moment itself. The images in the GLASS are again a new challenge, due to the close collaboration with the team Berengo from Murano, an extra genre has arisen in his collection.
