Zadkine Ossip

Ossip Zadkine (Russian: Осип Цадкин), born: Yossel Aronovich Tsadkin (Russian: Иосель Аронович Цадкин) (Vitebsk (Belarus), January 28, 1888 – Paris, November 25, 1967) was a French visual artist of Belarusian descent. . He is best known as a sculptor, but he also left behind an important oeuvre of gouaches and lithographs. From 1918 his work was strongly influenced by Cubism. He gradually left this cubist line after 1926 to develop his own style, which was strongly inspired by primitive art.
