Noelanders Gaston
Gaston Noelanders was a Belgian painter, born in Ixelles in 1910 and died in Knokke-Heist in 2003. He trained at the Academy in Antwerp and subsequently worked in various studios, including that of A. Bastien. He created flowers, still lifes, landscapes, forest scenes and marines. He used a traditional design. In 1943 he exhibited in the Galerie D'Art Vebe in Brussels. After the Second War he had a gallery on the Zeedijk in Knokke. Works by Gaston Noelanders have been purchased by Museums in Namur and Brussels. He is mentioned in BAS II and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (Piron)
