Morsa Michel

Michel Morsa was a Belgian artist who was born in Liège in 1899 and died there in 1981. He was a painter and etcher. Education at the Academy in Liège led by A. De Witte and E. Carpentier. Realized landscapes, marines, interiors, still lifes and portraits. In 1939 he was responsible for the decoration of the Pavilion of Tourism at the 'Exposition Internationale de l'Eaux' in Liège. Also regularly resided and worked in the South of France. Exhibited, among others, with the Cercle des Beaux-Arts in Liège from 1924 to 1972. Work, among others, in the Musée de l'Art Wallon in Liège. Mentioned in, Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. (PIRON)
