De Goeye Michel
Michel De Goeye was a Belgian artist who was born in 1900 in Anderlecht and who died in 1958 in Ixelles/Brussels. He was a painter, draftsman and graphic artist. Training at the Academy in Brussels. From 1920 to 1952 he worked on the magazine of the Englebert company and from 1925 to 1940 was an advertising artist for the Grand Bazar in Liège. Also worked as a poster designer and after 1945 realized fashion and textile drawings for the newspaper La Meuse. Made countless (color) etchings with a preference for landscapes, (Brussels) cityscapes and figures. Mentioned in BAS I and Two centuries of signatures of Belgian artists. Source: Piron
