Lutter Rodolphe

Rodolphe Lutter was a Belgian artist, born around 1880 and died around 1940. He was a painter and etcher who worked in Brussels. He painted, among other things, landscapes, scenes with cattle, still lifes and flowers. He was artistically active from about 1900 to 1940. He exhibited at the 'Exposition des Beaux-Arts' in Spa in 1914 and at the 'Exposition des Beaux-Arts' in Ghent, organized on the occasion of the Ghent Floralies in 1923. Together with several other artists, he was part of the vigilante group that kept the Museum in Brussels open on Sundays during the First World War. His works have been auctioned by Sotheby's Amsterdam in 1993 (Still life with flowers and oranges), by Zaal Vanderkindere in Brussels in 2005 (Cows in the barn) and by Zaal Horta in Brussels in 2012 (Straatje in San Remo) .
