Verdickt Gisleen

Gisleen Verdickt was a Belgian painter, pastelist and draftsman of landscapes, interiors, figures, portraits and nudes. He was also an etcher. He is born in 1883 and died at a relatively young age in 1926. He was, among others, Director of the Waasmunster Academy. He died during an operation where the doctors were trying to remove shrapnel from his brain.
