Lecomte Emile
Emile Lecomte was a Belgian artist who was born in 1866 in Brain-le-Comte/'s-Gravenbrakel and who died in 1938 in Uccle/Brussels. He was a painter. Training at the Academy in Brussels under R. Viandier (1882-1893), at the Academy in Saint-Gilles. Mainly realized landscapes, but also painted portraits, figures, flowers, interiors. Realistic design, impressionistic color palette. Was vice-chairman of the Circle Uccle Center d'Art for years. work in the Museum in Liège. Not to be confused with his French namesake, also a landscape painter.
