De Roeck Alfons

Alfons De Roeck was a Belgian artist who was born in Antwerp in 1896 and died in Berchem in 1982. He was a sculptor and painter. Training at the Academy in Antwerp. Often worked together with his brother Frans De Roeck. Realized, together with his brother, the pulpit for the church of the Holy Family in Borgerhout. Participated in the Jubilee celebration in 1961 on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Academy in Berchem/Antwerp with a Holy Mary (bas-relief). Source: Piron.
