Romain De Coninck is a Belgian painter born in 1935 and who died in 2019. He studied at the Academy of Art in Antwerp. De Coninck discovered the secrets of painting in the studio of his contemporary Omer Van Vosselen. His portraits testify to a striking observation art and human knowledge. De Coninck uses a dark palette with a slightly melancholic undertone. His still lifes are examples of handsome compositions with a very strong cohesion. He also paints interiors and landscapes.
