Jules de Bruycker
Jules De Bruycker (March, 29th 1870 - September, 5th 1945) was a Belgian artist, graphic designer, painter and draftsman. He is considered to be one of the main Belgian graphic designers after James Ensor and has reached a high level of technical virtuosity. He is best known for his scenes of his hometown, Ghent, architectural views of the cathedrals, war prints and book illustrations. 

Jules De Bruycker played in various settings, including oil on canvas, watercolour, drawing and engraving. He is now mainly remembered for his incisive drawings and his impressions. He has acquired a high degree of technical virtuosity in his prints, which gave him the distinction of being called back then "best Belgian actor after Ensor.
