Armand Jamar was born in Luik 1870 and died in Sint Gilles / Brussel 1946. He was a Belgian painter, watercolorist and draftsman. He trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels under the supervision of E. Carpentier and A. de Witte. From 1896 he traveled to the Netherlands, France, Italy and North Africa. His color palette leaned against French Flemish impressionism.He lived and worked from 1904 in Brussels but often worked on the Dutch and Belgian coast and in Bruges. His work can be found at the Museums in Brussels, Antwerp and Liège.
